Road Test Preparation

Our school car comes with safety features that can make your road test a better experience!

• A brake in the passenger side allows the examiner to control the car in an emergency. An examiner in control of the car is much more likely to be relaxed and calm.
• A driving school logo on the roof tells drivers around you to give you lots of space on the road for easier decision making and less pressure.

The examination centres covered by our basic packages are the Toronto Metro East and Toronto Downsview locations. If you wish to go to a different examination centre, there will be an additional charge. Prices vary depending on the location, please contact us for more information.

We’ll be happy to help you prepare for your road test. If you’re looking to use our school vehicle for your test, or just want some driving lessons, your next steps are:

1. Send us an email (honoursdriving@gmail.com) or a text message (416-318-6600) with the following information: Test type (G2 or G), date, time, test center name, and what services you’d like
2. We’ll find an instructor who can meet your scheduling needs and get in touch with you.
3. Purchase the services you need either via our online payment portal or via an email transfer (Interac E-Transfer using honoursdriving@gmail.com)
4. Get your instructor’s contact information from our admin team and contact your instructor

We would love to help you get your driver’s license. The steps to take are:

1. Purchase a package that includes the school car for the road test. 
2. Contact our office to receive your driving instructor’s name and phone number
3. Send a text message to your instructor with your name and ask them to schedule an initial driving lesson to determine your skill level and any areas of improvement before booking your road test
4. After you’ve had your first lesson, your instructor will guide you through the process of booking your road test using the official website (Drivetest.ca) 

Please note that one lesson from the road test package is reserved for the day of the test to increase chances of passing on your first try. If you choose to only purchase a single lesson, you’d be missing out on an opportunity to recognize your mistakes before the test date and fix them. 

Excellent choice! This will give you the opportunity to see if you like your instructor’s teaching style as well as determine areas for improvement in your driving and how much practice you need to be ready for your test. The steps to take are:

1. Purchase a lesson
2. Contact our office to receive an instructor’s name and phone number 
3. Send your instructor a text message with your name and let them know you’ve purchase a lesson and would like to schedule it. 
4. Meet your instructor and start learning!

Whether you’re meeting your instructor for a lesson or it’s the day of your road test, pick-up and drop-off will be at our driving school location (60 St. Clair Ave East Toronto, ON). St. Clair Station East is nearby for a quick commute to and from our office!

No, Ontario law states that you must have a G1 license before you can drive a car or take driving lessons.
